This is my version of the Alice talking to the Cheshire cat scene, from the Disney´s movie Alice in wonderland..

I wanted to make a darker version of it. Even that the original scene in Disney´s movie looks very dark, still a cartoon.. So my desire was to make that same dark feeling but more realistic, in this case, instead of making the cat transparent like in the cartoon , or just showing the smile and the eyes with transparent body, I wanted to be in the shadows. also I wanted to recreate that feel of not knowing if the cat is good or bad that I had when I saw the movie for first time.

About Alice, I remember that something that I didn’t like is that, she pass trough lot of things. She gets wheat, she goes giant then super small, running here and there... and at the end of it ,she looks like nothing happened, I though one way to make it more believable was making her a little bit less elegant or less pretty. But still Alice ,so she still have to look nice , I represented that by taking her shoes off.. is my way of saying that she have been in wonderland for some time and has some dirt on the dress and the hair is not that clean and it doesn’t look that nice.

Also, I wanted to put her on knees like she was kind of tired or was about to spend the night sleeping there or something.. like a very sad moment. And the cat just showed up..
